Redefine Yourself
One of the first steps I had to take before becoming who I am today was understanding my own limitations — and my own needs. Only then could I start to overcome those limitations and create a clear path towards where I wanted to be.
At some point, we all face this.
We all need to redefine ourselves — or as some say, “find ourselves.”
Training alone is not the answer to that.
Sometimes it starts with something simple — a new hobby, writing things down, or introducing something new into your life that gives you direction.
It’s about taking one step forward.
Towards a better version of yourself.
Towards a more complete, more intentional version of who you want to be.
Make a decision about who you want to become. Then build a clear path towards it. Seek advice. Ask for help.
But understand this:
No one else is responsible for your life.
The moment you realise that you are in control is the moment you can start acting on it.
For me, it took over 15 years of training and more than 10 years working as a nurse to truly understand where I wanted to be — and how to get there. It wasn’t a straight path, there were setbacks, injuries, mistakes and disappointments. At the time, I wasn’t thinking about “redefining myself.” But looking back, all of it led me to one moment — clarity. A point where everything aligned.
My own “Eureka” moment.
And I don’t believe I would have reached it without everything that came before.
If there is one thing I want you to take from this:
Life can hit hard. But you can hit back harder. You can learn from every setback and turn things around, but the responsibility is yours, no one will do it for you.
People can help — but only if you allow them to.
And I am here to help.
